Choir

There is nothing in the world so much like prayer as music is.  – William P. Merrill

The choir at St John’s is a group of joyful musicians under the direction of Julie Burgess. We are brought together by the desire to make music and to worship God. We welcome everyone, if only for a week or a day, to sing with us.

Schedules

  • The choir currently meets on Sundays at 9 am, starting after Labor Day and concluding after Mother’s Day.
  • We generally sing an anthem during our Eucharist service twice a month or for special days.
  • The office can put you on our mailing list, so you know when and what we will be singing.  All are Welcome! You don’t need to be a current member of St. John’s to join us, just the desire to sing to the Lord. Come as often or as little as your schedule permits.

Choral Music

Here is a sampling of our choir singing. Note, these are recorded in an open-air fashion and are not intended to be studio quality.

Other Special Music

BellChoirThroughout the year we enjoy special music done by members and friends of St. John’s. From handbell choirs, to jazz band, interested individual or a youth anthem – Music IS Life! Here are two samples.
